What is LDM? How to Calculate Lademeter?

What is LDM?

LDM stands for “Longitudinal Distance Meter” and can be translated into Turkish as “dimensional distance meter”. This system calculates tonnage by measuring the length of the loading area of the truck or truck bed in meters.

How to Calculate LDM?

Calculating tonnage with LDM is quite simple. You can do it by following the steps below:

  1. Measure the length of the load: Measure the height of the truck or truck bed from the floor to the ceiling and the length from the front wall to the rear wall in meters.
  2. Do the Multiplication: Multiply the height and length you measured by each other. Multiply the result by 1.75.
  3. Adapt the result to the Tonal Openwork: Round the result to the nearest 50 kg ton ajur.

Example:

Let the height of a truck body be 2.5 meters and the length 6 meters. In this case, the tonnage calculation with LDM is done as follows:

2.5 m * 6 m * 1.75 = 26.25

Rounding up to the nearest 50 kg ton ajur, we conclude that this truck has a carrying capacity of about 1.5 tons.
